Our Very First Post

If it wasn't clear, this is our very first entry, but more importantly it's the first attempt at three women keeping in touch across an entire continent. Although we are still all together in NY, in only a few months we will be spread out across a distance of almost 3000 miles. Instead of attempting a guess at how the next year will play out, I'd much rather focus on visits to the west coast, lovely tans, and those hemp bracelets that they most definitely sell in Berkeley. But I know that if this blog is going to work, we're going to have to stick with reality and not pretend that its going to be all vacations and road trips. It's pretty difficult to imagine that for the first time in 7 or 8 years we will not be close by - which is why the crucial necessity of writing and calling (dare we even imagine the phone bills) has not really sunk in yet. We all have such radically different lives - and finding time to write about your day when dealing with crashes in the market, 1st years of law school and finishing thesis papers on ....what the hell am I writing it on again?...is not going to be easy..However, one thing keeps me optimistic - remembering our outstanding capacity for procrastination, well except for Wendy :) the market sleeps for no man.. or woman! Even if its only a quick breakdown they'll be enough. Of course I won't say no to passionate political rants but that's just me. Anyway this entry is a welcome sign to both of you to start posting about your lives, loves, and bitchy bosses. So have at it.
